Meet Josie

Josie is a caring five-year-old who loves books, music, sport and being with her two brothers. She lives with Rett Syndrome which renders her nonverbal, with abnormally low muscle tone and severe hand Apraxia. Josie uses her eyes to speak and is currently learning her letters in preparation for starting school next year.​​​​​​​

Having a customised Freedom Wheels bike would mean Josie can be physical active and join in with her two brothers in cycling activities. Josie has hip dysplasia and is still learning to walk which requires an enormous amount of physio which mum Julie does everyday with her. Josie flourishes when she is in a mainstream environment doing things that other kids do. The Freedom Wheels bike would do wonders for her self esteem and feeling of inclusion.

The Freedom Wheels bike would be life changing for the whole family. The family loves being outdoors but currently the walks are limited. The bike will change all of the family time together.
